Terms and Conditions

Welcome to SOTA Medical Training. By accessing this website, booking a class, purchasing services, or participating in training offered by SOTA Medical Training, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Company Information

SOTA Medical Training provides CPR, AED, First Aid, and related safety training services for individuals, businesses, schools, and organizations.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or registering for any course, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies posted on this website.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website or register for services.

3. Training Services

SOTA Medical Training offers certification and non-certification training courses, including but not limited to:

  • CPR Training

  • AED Training

  • First Aid Training

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Heartsaver Courses

  • Workplace Safety Training

  • Group and On-Site Instruction

Course offerings, pricing, schedules, instructor availability, and locations may change without notice.

4. Certifications

When applicable, successful completion of required course components may result in issuance of certification cards through approved training organizations.

Certification issuance is dependent upon:

  • Full attendance

  • Successful skills completion

  • Completion of required testing (if applicable)

  • Accurate participant information provided by the student

SOTA Medical Training cannot guarantee employer acceptance of any certification. Students are responsible for confirming workplace requirements.

5. Payments

Payment may be required at the time of booking or prior to class start.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Credit or debit card

  • Cash

  • Check

  • Other approved payment methods

Returned checks, chargebacks, or unpaid balances may result in cancellation of services or withholding of certification until resolved.

Credit card transactions may be subject to processing fees where legally permitted.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Individual Classes

  • Cancellation requests made at least 48 hours before class may qualify for rescheduling or credit.

  • No-shows or late cancellations may forfeit payment.

Private Group Training

  • Preferred dates submitted through booking forms are requests only and are not confirmed until approved in writing.

  • Deposits or minimum charges may apply.

  • Late cancellations may be subject to fees.

Refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of SOTA Medical Training unless otherwise required by law.

7. Arrival and Attendance

Students are expected to arrive on time and ready to participate.

Late arrival may result in:

  • Denied entry

  • Need to reschedule

  • Inability to complete certification requirements

  • Forfeiture of fees paid

8. Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate registration information

  • Wearing appropriate clothing for hands-on skills practice

  • Informing instructors of physical limitations or medical concerns

  • Following instructor directions and safety guidance

9. Health and Physical Activity Notice

Training may involve kneeling, bending, lifting, compressions on manikins, and other physical activity.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • You are voluntarily participating

  • You assume normal risks associated with training activity

  • You should stop immediately if discomfort occurs

If you have medical concerns, consult a healthcare provider before participation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SOTA Medical Training shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Missed employment opportunities

  • Employer policy disputes

  • Travel expenses

  • Scheduling changes

  • Delays caused by weather, emergencies, or circumstances beyond reasonable control

Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable service.

11. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website unlawfully

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems

  • Submit false bookings

  • Interfere with website operation

  • Copy content without permission

We may suspend or restrict access for misuse.

12. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, logos, text, graphics, training materials, and media are property of SOTA Medical Training unless otherwise noted.

No reproduction or commercial use is permitted without written consent.

13. Third-Party Services

This website may use third-party services such as scheduling, payment processing, maps, analytics, or embedded tools.

SOTA Medical Training is not responsible for third-party platform outages, policies, or data handling practices.

14. Privacy

Use of this website may involve collection of contact and booking information. Please review our Privacy Policy for details regarding data handling.

15. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Government actions

  • Public health emergencies

  • Power/internet outages

  • Instructor illness or emergency

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Changes to Terms

SOTA Medical Training may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms become effective when posted to this website.
